Rices Landing a ‘hidden gem’ on the Mon River

Celebrate National Trails Day and join in this fun, mostly downhill race on Saturday, June 3 in Morgantown, WV. Enjoy the scenic rail-trail, yummy refreshments, and live music at the finish line. Finisher medals and free photo at the finish line!

Since 1999, features a city wide antique, flea market and craft sale. Antique dealers in Chess Park Gazebo, crafters and flea market vendors at Aquatorium lot and 2 1/2 mile flea and yard sale along Main Street. Also includes food booths and entertainment.

Paddle the Monongahela River, the pioneer highway once paddled by native people, later to became the coal shipping route that fueled the Industrial Revolution in Pittsburgh. Bring your kayak, canoe or board and join us for a leisurely paddle from Palatine Park in Fairmont to Rivesville. In Rivesville you will be welcomed with an afternoon of small town WV country charm, including traditional food and entertainment. After a rest and a refuel, back to Palatine Park for prizes, medals and more. Then, for the finale, a Bluegrass concert opening with The Loaded Goat and featuring The Hillbilly Gypsies. Registration is $20 per person and will include lunch and entertainment in Rivesville and a Bluegrass concert at Palatine. Registrations received by June 1st will receive a Marion County Event Medal. Registration forms will be available at mcparc.com starting the first week of May.
